Eon Sinclair

Perhaps best known as founding member and the bass playing half of Juno Award winning reggae punk rock innovators Bedouin Soundclash, Eon Sinclair is also known as The Soul Proprietor. With his band Bedouin Soundclash, he has released four records and toured the globe extensively, headlining shows in Europe, Australia, China, India and the US, as well as performing alongside acts such as No Doubt, Coldplay, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and Nine Inch Nails. The tale of Bedouin Soundclash has been filled with step after step of something special — from live shows that are as emotionally incendiary as they are monstrously entertaining, to albums that have stoked the hearts and minds of thousands.

Outside of the band, Sinclair has dedicated much time to philanthropy as a mentor at the Remix Project and the CIRAA, as well as being a steadfast and active supporter of Ascent Soccer since 2008.

“DJing is my opportunity to have a lot of fun and pay homage to my Pops who’s DJ-ing and record collecting has helped to shape who I am and what I do,” says The Soul Proprietor. “It's also an amazing way to spread dope music, something that the world is consistently in need of. The vision is to show the connections between genres that are unified by virtue of having soul.”

DJ-ing at Juno parties in Halifax, Saskatoon and Calgary, at Wakestock, The Toronto Festival of Beer, Taste Toronto, CMW, and for notables such as director Spike Lee, The Sattalites, and Emmanuel Jal, The Soul Proprietor brings an effortlessly cool, soulful musical vibe to the stage. Blending genres, styles, and tastes, his show gets audiences moving, bringing new music to their ears as well as the tracks they know and love.
